From 1 May 2025 | Christ Church Kensington: 76 McCracken St, Kensington VIC
If you’re a Kensington local, or are even further afield in Melbourne, I am guiding weekly, one-hour classes of gentle yoga, including Yin Yoga, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation to allow for nervous system regulation, inner creativity and stillness, and coming back to the breath. A lovely meditation at the end will help with preparing for the evening wind-down.
Each week, you’ll be guided through some or all of the following modalities to support restoration and connectedness:
Come with no expectation, except a readiness to simply ‘be’ and to move through a set of practices intuitively woven to support the changing seasons, energies and needs of the group.
This gentle yoga community class is open to all.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring:

Please note: Breathwork is not recommended for individuals with certain health conditions, including but not limited to a history of aneurysms, cardiovascular issues, detached retina, glaucoma, epilepsy, uncontrolled high blood pressure, strokes, pregnancy in the first trimester, or recent surgeries.
It is also contraindicated for those on prescription blood-thinning medications, individuals with psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or anyone who has been hospitalised for a psychiatric episode.
I am a yoga and meditation teacher who guides from the heart with warmth and empathy, and loves to merge creative expression with yoga. I am also a food, travel and fiction writer, and have worked as a publisher of lots of types of books for too many years to mention.
My teaching is informed by being a forever student of the beautiful practice that is traditional yoga, with a focus on the subtle (energetic) body, and feminine and trauma-informed practice.
Some of my qualifications include:
I acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional owners of the land on which I live and work. I pay my respects to their elders, past and present, and acknowledge sovereignty has never been ceded.
